1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ShrinkPDF (shrinkpdf.fyi), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the site.

2. Description of Service

ShrinkPDF provides free, browser-based tools for compressing, merging, splitting, rotating, reordering, watermarking, and converting PDF files, along with adding page numbers. All processing happens locally in your browser — no account, login, or file upload to a server is required.

The service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising (Google AdSense) and, on some guide pages, affiliate links to third-party software (see our Affiliate Disclosure).

3. No Warranty — "As Is" Service

ShrinkPDF is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

• The tools will be error-free, uninterrupted, or available at all times
• Compression, conversion, or other processing will produce a result suitable for every purpose or every recipient system (e.g. a specific government or university portal)
• The output file will be free of visual quality loss — compression in particular works by re-rendering each page, which reduces image quality and removes selectable text, hyperlinks, and digital signatures from the processed copy

You are responsible for reviewing the output file before relying on it or submitting it anywhere, and for keeping a copy of your original, unprocessed file.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ShrinkPDF and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service. This includes — without limitation — data loss, file corruption, missed submission deadlines, or rejection of a file by a third party (such as a bank, university, or government portal).

Because all processing happens locally in your browser, we have no visibility into, and no control over, the files you process. We cannot recover a file for you if something goes wrong on your device.

5. Your Responsibilities

• Keep a backup of your original files before processing them
• Verify that a processed file meets the requirements of whoever you are submitting it to (file size, format, legibility) before relying on it
• Do not use ShrinkPDF to process files you do not have the legal right to modify or distribute
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the service (including automated scraping or excessive load intended to affect other users)

6. Intellectual Property

The ShrinkPDF name, logo, and website design are the property of ShrinkPDF. The tools are built using open-source libraries including pdf-lib, PDF.js, and JSZip, each under their respective open-source licenses. Files you process remain entirely your own property — we never take any ownership interest in, or access to, your content.

7. Third-Party Links and Advertising

Pages on ShrinkPDF, particularly the Guides section, may contain links to third-party software or services, some of which are affiliate links that earn us a commission if you make a purchase (see our Affiliate Disclosure for details). We also display advertising served by Google AdSense. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site linked from ShrinkPDF.

8. Changes to the Service or These Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms of Service from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of ShrinkPDF after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
