ShrinkPDF (shrinkpdf.fyi) is a free browser-based PDF utility operated by a small independent team based in Malaysia. You can contact us at hello@shrinkpdf.fyi.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. By using ShrinkPDF, you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

ShrinkPDF does not collect personal information directly. Specifically:

• We do not require account registration or login
• We do not ask for your name, email address, or any personal details to use the tools
• We do not store, access, or transmit any PDF files you process on this site
• We do not sell any data to third parties

The only information collected is anonymous usage data through third-party services described in Section 5 below.

3. How Your Files Are Processed

All PDF processing — compression, merging, splitting, rotating, and conversion — happens entirely within your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are loaded into your browser's local memory and are never transmitted to our servers or any third-party server at any point.

You can verify this independently: load any tool on ShrinkPDF, then disconnect your internet connection. The tools continue to function because no network connection is required for processing. Once you close or refresh the page, all file data is permanently cleared from browser memory.

4. Cookies and Analytics

ShrinkPDF uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. The data collected includes:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• General geographic location (country and city level only)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Referring website (how you arrived at ShrinkPDF)

This data is anonymous and aggregated. It cannot be used to identify you personally. It is processed by Google under Google's data processing terms. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Advertising

ShrinkPDF displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. This enables personalised advertising.

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. Opting out means you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised based on your browsing history.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate this website:

• Google Analytics — anonymous site usage tracking. Google's Privacy Policy.
• Google AdSense — display advertising with optional personalisation. Opt out of personalised ads.
• Google Fonts — typeface loading. Google's servers receive your IP address when fonts are fetched on page load.
• Cloudflare Pages — website hosting and CDN. Cloudflare may log request metadata (IP address, request path, timestamp) for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
• pdf-lib, PDF.js, JSZip — open-source JavaScript libraries used for PDF processing. These run entirely in your browser; no file data is sent to any external service.

7. Your Rights (PDPA and General)

As a Malaysian website, ShrinkPDF operates in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). Because we do not collect personal data directly through the use of our tools, most PDPA rights are not applicable in the typical sense. However:

• If you contact us by email, any personal data you provide (name, email address) is used solely to respond to your message and is not shared with any third party.
• You may request deletion of any email correspondence by contacting us at hello@shrinkpdf.fyi.
• For data collected by Google Analytics or Google AdSense, please refer to Google's privacy controls at myaccount.google.com/privacy.

8. Children's Privacy

ShrinkPDF does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through contact with us, please email hello@shrinkpdf.fyi and we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention

We do not retain any PDF files or document data — all file processing is local to your browser and no file data ever reaches our servers. Anonymous analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 26 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of ShrinkPDF after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
